Well, we survived driving across the country and back with a two year old, and we have pictures to prove it. Actually Hunter did really great on our road trip. Here are some pics from the trip...
We got to have lunch on the plaza with Grandpa Luke and then go to his office in the church office building.
He was giving hugs to everyone.
I just think this is an amazing action shot. Look at that form!
We also got to go visit Hunter's Great Grandpa Mackay. Hunter talks about going to his house a lot.
Hunter got to go to his favorite place in the whole world, the ZOO! This is the area that overlooks the giraffes.
Family picture at the zoo.
At one point (we have no idea why), Hunter found a corner and gave himself a time-out. It lasted for a few minutes and took a lot of convincing to get him to leave.
We went to visit our friends, the Ringers, in provo and Hunter actually got to sit in a tractor. His smile says it all.
This was probably the funniest things he did in Utah, although the picture doesn't do it justice. Uncle Adam and him played football in the living room for at least 40 minutes. Adam would throw it and Hunter would try to recover the ball before Adam could, while laughing hysterically the whole time. I can't remember who put the dew rag on but it seems appropriate.
Our little Hunter boy turned 2 on July 19th! He did a much better job getting messy on this birthday than his 1st one.
He LOVED opening gifts. This is a cute outfit from the Lundgreens that he's holding.
Here he's opening a bunch of movies from Grandma and Grandpa Horne. Incredibles is his absolute favorite and he always says how he got it from "Boppa Horne".
We know the proportions are a bit off but these are his birthday cakes. You can't read it well in this picture but Erin (Lundgreen) used her amazing decorating skills to right "Slugger" across the bat.
We got to spend quite a bit of time with our best friends the Lundgreens. Their daughter Emery is only 8 days older than Hunter and they played like the very best of friends. This was at his party after dinner when they were playing.
The day after we got to Utah was Emery's birthday. This pics are from her party playing outside and in her new pool.
Well we're sad we had to come back, but thanks to everyone who took time to visit with us. It was a great trip and I think Hunter might actually remember it which is pretty exciting.

I thought you must have been out of town as I hadn't seen you in forever! Welcome back! Sounds like it was a blast!
Where are the Denver pics??? Ha. For all 24 hours you were here . . .
Welcome back! Glad you guys had fun! I'm impressed that you made that long trip in the car...but it looks like it was worth it!
So, can you teach our children how to give themselves time-outs too? Next time, we would appreciate it if you would come out to visit us too. That is fun that you got to visit so many friends.
