So I'll be a full 11 weeks tomorrow, which means the baby is about the size of a large strawberry or about 2 inches. All his/her major organs have been formed and even the baby's nose is beginning to develop. I know I've already been through this once but I still think it is soooo amazing!
how exciting! How is Hunter handling you being pregnant? Lucas is constantly asking me "what's the baby doing?" "Do you think it's playing hide and seek?"
I've heard that boys make you more sick (I have no comparison so far though). Hope you are feeling better soon!!
I know, I still am in awe everytime I think about babies development. I hope you get a girl too! Do you feel the same or different with this pregnancy? I am so so so excited for you guys.
I think the sickness thing just completely depends on the person and the pregnancy. I know people that were so much sicker with boys than girls, so I guess its just a 50/50 chance no matter what! ;)
I know Matt & Corinne have a blog but I can't access it. So if you see them anytime soon tell her to add our email address so I can get in touch with her!
Hooray! I am just so excited for you. And I really want you to have a girl, so you can use your cute rag quilt already! :) As for us, I'm due Sept. 23, and not really sure what I want? Economically we'd want a girl, since she'd be born at the same season as Summer, so we'd have clothes. But I'm just happy to have an alive baby (but you can still cross your fingers! ;) keep us posted!
What!! I had no idea you were pregnant!! That's great! Congrats! I guess I need to look at blogs more often. Hunter is so adorable! He seems like a fun kid!
3-24-09-Hunter started saying prayers by himself a couple months ago, but they have so far consisted of the same 3 or 4 items. Yesterday he added a new one. "Thank you that I could meet Tony the garbage man"
Charlotte is crying and Hunter says "don't worry Charlotte, daddy will help you...after we play blocks"
10/24/08-I'm slowing down quite rapidly for a yellow light, and Hunter is in the back seat screaming "slow DOWN daddy, slow DOWN!"
6/16/08-Hunter has been complaining of itchy eyes lately, so I got him some drops from one of my professors at school. They sting a little at first and he’s been very brave with them, even laughing as I’m trying to put them in. This morning Heather found him with the unopened bottle of drops and a tissue, “putting” them in his teddy bears eyes and “wiping” them away with the tissue
6/08 I talk to Heather on the phone when I’m at work and usually Hunter if he’s awake. Sometimes Heather will ask if he wants to say hi to daddy, so he comes over to the phone and says “Hi dad” and runs off. She has to holler at him to come back and talk
4/6/08-Today Hunter and I (Spencer) were eating oatmeal. We finished the bowl and I told him we were all done. He started throwing a tantrum so I put him down on the floor. He rolled around for a minute and then got up and ran screaming into his room. We got quite a kick out of it, although we don't know what he was trying to accomplish.
3/5/08 - Lately Hunter has had a very runny nose, so he's gotten quite familiar with the tissue box. Now when we do the laundry he takes the dryer sheet and tries to wipe my nose with it. It took me a couple times to realize he thought it was a tissue and that he was "helping" me. I can say from experience that they are not nearly as soft on your skin as a normal tissue.
Feb '08-One day we were eating dinner. Hunter was down getting into the dvd drawer. He pulls out this old cartoon one and opened it. I (Spencer) asked him to bring it to me and he obediently did. I tried taking it from him at which point he completely lost it, very sad. So I put the disc back in and gave it to him. He stopped crying and quietly took the case back and sat in front of the tv. We continued eating, and when we looked over a few minutes later he was holding the case, quietly pointing to the characters on the front and looking really sad. He was being so darn cute we had to let him watch a few minutes.
10/1/07 - Hunter shut himself in our bedroom today. I went over to help him and made the mistake of asking, "Do you want to go outside?" I knew as I said it that I shouldn't have. He screamed in excitement and ran over to get his shoes. I tried to distract him with his teddy bears but he wouldn't be deterred. I didn't want him to think I'd lied, so he got to take a walk outside before his nap.
9/29/07 - We have one cabinet not "child-proofed" that Hunter has been obsessed with for the past week. He would go in, get the honey, walk around with it, and leave it in some random place. We couldn't figure out his obsession until the other day. I went in to find him hugging the honey jar when I realized it was a honey "bear". For those not aware, Hunter loves bears and thinks that any bear is free for the hugging. We got a good laugh out of it and let him play with it any time he wants now.
