Connecticut Trip

A few weeks ago we got to drive home (Heather's home) for a visit. My dad was driving through on his way there too so he got to stop for a few days and visit. The kids loved having Grandpa's attention all to themselves. Here they found Charlotte's box of bows and got a little crazy. I think Grandpa initiated it. When we got to CT I got to see all my parents, sisters, cousins and my two nieces! Being an Aunt is so fun. I feel terrible I only got cell phone pics of Isabella, who is precious by the way. But we did get quite a few of Aurora one night. Check out these eyes folks, she's so beautiful!

Here is Aunt Laurel trying to win the role of favorite Aunt.

I don't know exactly what Hunter is doing here but Aunt Erin did teach him to cross his eyes on the trip and it's his new favorite look.
Aunt Bethany and Charlotte getting their groove on.

My mom is the queen of funny hats and she came home on two different days wearing silly ones. Hunter thought they were pretty great. I'm not sure pink is his color...
Hunter is showing off his artwork. The room we stayed in had a green painting with a yellow flower and a lady bug. He saw it that morning and later decided to a new interpretation of it. Bethany, and artist herself, was pretty proud.
Grandpa took Hunter to the fire station for a look at the trucks. I'm pretty sure they bonded. Nothing brings guys together like big trucks.

I grew up on an old farm and I couldn't help taking some pictures one sunny day. This first one is just a tree stump but I think it would look pretty great black and white. That will come later.
This was the first school house in the area and it's right across the street from my parent's place.
Back of the farm with the rock foundation. Stone walls and the autumn is probably what I miss most about new england.
Aunt Erin and Uncle Josh took us letter boxing one morning. It's basically the technologically challenged version of geocaching. It was very fun, we want to do it again. Here's the princess caught up in the magic of the forest.

Aunt Erin and Hunter finding the first notebook under a pile of rocks.
When you find the notebook you put your stamp in it. Uncle Josh decided to stamp his head (not that strange if you know josh). Without a second thought Hunter did the same thing. It was awesome. We had to hold him down to scrub it off before church the next day.
The whole letter boxing crew.
